On November 17th 1939 students resistance in streets of Prague against Nazi
occupation has inspired the establishment of
an antiNazi students coalition
In 1941 November 17th has been declared the
International Students' Day by
the International Students Council in
London becoming the starting point of founding the
International Union of Students
